LEARNING & RESOURCES

Sharing our learning

Photography is a craft that grows through practice, feedback and shared knowledge.

The Mundaring Camera Club encourages members to keep learning through presentations, workshops, outings, competitions, image reviews and informal conversations with other photographers.

This page brings together selected learning resources and public opportunities to help members, visitors and the wider photography community develop their skills.

Learning through the club

Club learning happens in many ways. Members share practical experience, demonstrate techniques, discuss images, explore creative ideas and learn from each other’s successes and challenges.

Topics may include camera skills, composition, lighting, editing, printing, presentation, competition preparation and different photographic genres.

External opportunities

Local and regional exhibitions, workshops and competitions can also help photographers grow.

Visiting exhibitions, entering external competitions and supporting other photographic groups can provide inspiration, expose photographers to different presentation standards and strengthen connections within the wider WA photographic community.

Where possible, the club may share selected public opportunities, exhibitions and external competitions. Dates, entry requirements and details should always be checked with the organiser, as they may change.

Public resources

From time to time, the club shares selected documents, guides and learning material for public download. These resources are intended to help photographers explore new techniques, understand photographic concepts and continue building confidence.
